Our Promise to You

We respect your privacy as a member of our fellowship. We collect only what is necessary to serve you, we never sell your data to third-party marketers, and we treat your information with the same integrity we bring to our ministry.

1. About ACF South Region

The African Christian Fellowship – South Region (“ACFSR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Georgia-registered nonprofit ministry organization and a regional body of the African Christian Fellowship of the United States of America, Inc. (ACFUSA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation incorporated in Maryland. This Privacy Policy applies to acfsouthregion.org and to personal information collected in connection with ACFSR events and programs.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you voluntarily provide when you register for events, donate, or contact us. This includes:

• Identity Data: Name, email address, and phone number.
• Event Registration Data: Names, ages, and emergency contact information of attendees, including minors registered by a parent, guardian, or chapter representative.
• Financial Data: We use Tithe.ly as our primary payment processor for event registrations and donations. We do not store your full credit card details on our servers.
• Usage Data: We may collect non-identifying data such as browser type and pages visited to improve your website experience.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your information is used solely for the following ministry purposes:

• Processing event registrations and donations.
• Sending regional newsletters and important fellowship updates.
• Responding to inquiries and support requests.
• Operating SMS/text messaging programs you have opted into.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share necessary information with trusted service providers to operate our ministry. These providers are not permitted to use your data for their own marketing purposes.

• Elvanto (Pushpay) — Our church management platform (acfusa.elvanto.net), used to store member records and manage fellowship groups.
• Tithe.ly — Our primary payment processor for event registrations and donations.
• Event-specific vendors — Depending on the event, we may work with additional service providers for functions such as communications, surveys, photo sharing, or on-site payment processing. Any such vendors are engaged on a limited basis and receive only the information necessary to support that specific event.

5. Children’s Privacy

ACFSR collects personal information about minors (persons under 18) only in connection with event registrations and related ministry activities. All such information is provided through and submitted by a parent, legal guardian, or authorized chapter representative — never directly from the minor. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through this website. If you believe we have inadvertently received a direct submission from a child under 13, please contact us at southregion.admin@acfusa.org and we will promptly delete it.

6. SMS / Text Messaging

African Christian Fellowship – South Region offers an optional SMS text messaging program to share event and conference notifications, schedules, reminders, ministry announcements, and organizational updates with members, ministry participants, and event attendees who opt in.

• Consent: You opt in by providing your mobile number and affirmatively agreeing (for example, by checking the consent box on our sign-up form) to receive text messages. Consent is not a condition of membership, registration, or any purchase.
• Message Frequency: Message frequency varies.
• Cost: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
• Opt-Out & Help: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. You may also contact us at southregion.admin@acfusa.org.
• Carriers: Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including SSL encryption, to protect your data. While no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information. In the event of a data breach that may affect your information, we will notify affected individuals in accordance with applicable law.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your membership or event participation is active, and for up to three (3) years thereafter, unless a longer retention period is required by law or is necessary to resolve a dispute. Financial transaction records are retained in accordance with applicable tax and accounting requirements.

9. Your Rights & Choices

You have the right to:

• Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the “unsubscribe” link in any message.
• Stop Text Messages: Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving SMS from us.
• Access & Update: Request a copy of the data we have on file or ask for corrections.
• Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information from our records, subject to any legal retention requirements.

10. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through our website. Your continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
