Terms of Service

The guidelines for our digital and community fellowship.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website or participating in ACF South Region events, programs, or activities (“ACFSR Services”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please refrain from using our digital services or attending our events.

2. Who We Are

The African Christian Fellowship – South Region (“ACFSR”) is a Georgia-registered nonprofit ministry organization and a regional body of the African Christian Fellowship of the United States of America, Inc. (ACFUSA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Our address is 6865 Factory Shoals Road, Austell, GA 30168.

3. Age Requirements

Users must be 13 years of age or older to use this website independently. Registration of individuals under 18 must be completed by a parent, legal guardian, or authorized chapter representative. By completing a registration on behalf of a minor, you confirm that you are the minor’s parent, legal guardian, or an authorized chapter representative with the authority to do so.

4. Event Registrations & Refunds

Registration for regional events (Conferences, Family Enrichment Program, Council Meetings, and other programs) is subject to availability.

  • Refund Requests: Refund requests must be submitted in writing to southregion.admin@acfusa.org. The specific refund deadline for each event will be communicated at registration. Requests received after the stated deadline may be denied or subject to a processing fee at ACFSR’s discretion.
  • No-Shows: Registration fees are not refunded for no-shows unless extenuating circumstances are communicated in advance and approved in writing.
  • Event Changes: ACFSR reserves the right to modify event details including date, venue, schedule, and programming. Notice of material changes will be provided as early as reasonably practicable.
  • Transfers: Registration transfers to another individual may be permitted with advance written notice, subject to event-specific eligibility rules.

5. Event Cancellation & Force Majeure

ACFSR reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule any event due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, public health emergencies, governmental orders or restrictions, venue unavailability, or insufficient enrollment.

If ACFSR cancels an event:

  • Registered participants will be notified as promptly as possible through available contact information.
  • ACFSR will issue full refunds of event registration fees, or — where a participant agrees — credit toward a future ACFSR event.
  • ACFSR is not responsible for any travel, lodging, or other costs incurred by attendees in connection with a cancelled or rescheduled event.

6. Code of Conduct

ACFSR is a Christian fellowship community. All members, participants, and website users are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, respect, and Christian love — consistent with ACFSR’s Statement of Faith and Bylaws (Article IX). This applies on our digital platforms, at regional events, and in all ACFSR activities.

Behavior that is disruptive, harassing, discriminatory, or inconsistent with our mission may result in:

  • Removal from ACFSR events or digital platforms without refund.
  • Referral to the Regional Council for disciplinary review in accordance with ACFSR Bylaws.
  • Notification of the individual’s local chapter leadership.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including logos, text, images, and media — is the property of ACF South Region or ACFUSA and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our branding or content for external purposes without prior written permission from ACFSR. Permission requests may be directed to southregion.admin@acfusa.org.

8. Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on this website infringes your copyright, please submit a written notice to southregion.admin@acfusa.org identifying the allegedly infringing material and providing your contact information. We will review and respond in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and applicable law.

9. Limitation of Liability

ACFSR provides this website and its services “as is” and without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • ACFSR is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website or participation in ACFSR events.
  • ACFSR’s total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to ACFSR in direct connection with the specific event or service giving rise to the claim.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits ACFSR’s liability for gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ACFSR, its officers, directors, volunteers, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from: (a) your use of this website or participation in ACFSR events; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of a third party.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms that cannot be resolved through good-faith discussion between the parties shall first be submitted to mediation before either party pursues other legal remedies. Venue for any legal proceeding shall be in Cobb County, Georgia.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this website. Your continued use of our website or participation in ACFSR events after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
