Wherever it is possible, we place orphaned children with their own relatives — an aunt, a grandmother, an elder brother — and we stand behind that household so the child can stay in it. Where no family remains, we place them somewhere safe and keep watch.

A child growing up among people who love them is the nearest thing to restoring what was lost. By God’s grace, that is the work this region has taken up, and it is carried by brethren who know these children by name.

How We Care

Orphan care sits inside the South Region’s standing monthly commitment, alongside the clinic payroll and the youth work. It is funded in season and out of season, month after month, and it is one of the commitments this fellowship keeps most faithfully.

Across the region, chapters also support orphan care within their own assigned countries, through partners they have known for years.
